The Staff

Rev. Cindy Kightlinger MA, LPC, CAC
Director of The Counseling Centre

“I believe God called me to set captives free as well as to feed His sheep. I view counseling as a mix of speaking God’s truth, undergirded by thoughtful prayer and study, combined with professional training, delivered with the highest ethical and spiritual standards.”

All Staff are self-employed counselors serving under the umbrella of the Counseling Centre in order to serve the counseling needs of our community.

Rev. Kightlinger credentials include:a BA in Christian Psychology and an MS in Clinical Pastoral Counseling, an MA in Professional Counseling and a licensed professional Counselor.  She has a certification in Crisis and Abuse Counseling and Critical Incidence Stress Management.  Rev. Kightlinger is also certified with the with the Pennsylvania Chemical Abuse Board as an addiction counselor and also holds an International Certification in Addiction Counseling. Rev. Kightlinger is also certified by the PA state Certification board in Gambling Proficiency Counseling for individuals and families and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). Rev. Kightlinger counsels adults with mood, anxiety disorders, substance abuse and women’s issues.

Bev Kerr, LPC, Associate
Bev has an MA in Rehabilitative Counseling from Edinboro University, is a
certified Addiction Counselor with the Pennsylvania Chemical Abuse Board
and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Bev works with geriatric population, also does marriage, family counseling and counseling for mood, anxiety disorders and substance abuse and women’s issues.

Joel Kightlinger, LSW , Associate
Joel has a Master of Clinical Social Work from the University of Tennessee, is certified in Critical Incidence Stress Management, has certification in Sexual Offending Counseling and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.  Please add:  Joel counsels those with mood, anxiety disorders, marital, adolescents and men’s issues.

Brittany Mears, MA, Associate
Brittany has an MA in Community Counseling from Edinboro University.  She primarily works with children, adolescents and family.


Christine McWilliams, MA, Associate
Christine has an MA in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.  She has a special interest in the adolescent population and works with children and families.

 

The Counseling Centre is a ministry of New Beginnings Church of God and exists to assist those individuals who are uninsured, underinsured and underserved. Cash fees for services are modest in comparison to other area agencies.
