New Beginnings Church of God seeks to Know God through worship, study and prayer, seeks to Follow Jesus by imitating His example and to Serve Others through ministries, missions and outreach. The Counseling Centre compliments the mission of the church by incorporating spiritual direction into counseling. Our staff create an environment where members of the church and community feel supported and encouraged in their discovery of God's plan for their lives, which assists them to know, follow and serve God.
The Counseling Centre at New Beginnings Church of God offers counseling for Individuals, Marriages, Families, Adults, Teens, and Children. Issues addressed are depression, anxiety, addiction, compulsions, food disorders and self-harming behaviors. Individual spiritual direction and life coaching are available as well.
For us counseling isn't a job, rather it is a calling that
we take very seriously. We realize that we are influencing lives and that
individuals are coming to us with very private and serious issues. We
endeavor to serve our clients, to treat them with respect and to uphold
confidentialty. I am proud to work with such a dedicated group of
professionals.

Counselors work various hours. Morning, daytime, evening hours are available by appointment only. Call 814-337-6180 and leave your name and phone number. We will promptly return calls.
Session Lengths
Sessions are generally scheduled for 50 minutes. Please be on time and ready to discuss important information at the beginning of the session.
Fees
We are concerned that counseling be affordable without compromising
professional quality. Therefore we set fees that are moderate in comparison to other community services and reflect concern for the client's ability to pay.
